Midtown: Future Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails chef Doug Hewitt is preparing a special preview menu at Revolver on February 27 and February 28. The 5-course meal is $55 per person and includes grilled Spanish octopus, coconut curry soup, grilled rabbit sausage, flank steak "pastrami" with braised short rib, and chocolate and hazelnut mascarpone cream. Hewitt will also be showing off his chops with small bites at The Oakland on Valentine's Day and at The Root collaborating with chef James Rigato later this month.

Downtown: What's going on with Republic? Chef Kate Williams tells Eater the forthcoming restaurant is delayed as they're awaiting approval on a liquor license.

West Village: Just days after exceeding their $25,000 fundraising goal with an Indiegogo campaign and epic dance party, Sister Pie has received their city building permit.

Updates: Backed by popular demand, Revolver added a second night with chef Doug Hewitt. We've also updated Republic's status since this post.
