Clawson's new barbecue and ice cream restaurant Woodpile BBQ Shack makes its official debut at noon on Saturday, co-owner Scott Moloney tells Eater. Diners can find a full complement of smoked meats from St. Louis spare ribs Central Texas brisket and Carolina pulled pork sandwiches courtesy of pit master Steve "Bubba" Coddington with Treat Dreams ice cream for dessert. Located inside a former A&W restaurant, Woodpile has a take-out setup with a walk-up window and outdoor seating. While dining outside might not be so desirable in January, it could be the ideal way to take advantage of Michigan's final hours of unseasonably warm weather.
Woodpile BBQ Shack opens daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the winter and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the summer.
