Diamond Jim Brady's has returned to Detroit (sort of). The metro area mini-chain is revealing its Royal Oak location Monday, according to The Detroit News. Located in the former Oxford Inn space on Main Street, the restaurant is one of a spate of recent suburban venues to tack "Detroit" onto its name. The bistro seats around 200 and is designed to reflect the spirit of the original Jim Brady's founded on Seven Mile in 1954.

Meanwhile, the owners are plotting further expansions. An Ann Arbor restaurant is expected to swing open in the former Vellum space later this year, with a downtown Detroit location to follow in 2017. No word on what that one will be called since Diamond Jim Brady's Detroit already taken.
