Forest's renovations are finally complete and the restaurant made its official debut last week featuring a Mediterranean-influenced menu by newly appointed executive chef Nick Janutol. Diner's won't be shocked by the updates to Forest; the essential character of the longtime Birmingham destination remains intact. Designer and partner Victor Saroki's alterations include new chairs, light fixtures, and a sleek glassed-in kitchen for a more modern look. A 1,000-bottle wine cellar was also added to the space. Owner Samy Eid tells Eater that new sliding windows will be added in the spring to bring patio dining feel to the entire eatery. Photographer's Michelle and Chris Gerard toured the dynamic reincarnation of the old classic. See for yourself in the gallery above.
