BEER HERE — Noel Night is destined to be boozier than usual this year. Cass Corridor bar and bottle shop 8 Degrees Plato Detroit is erecting a craft beer and wine tent on the corner of Kirby and Woodward with proceeds benefitting the Cultural Center. [EaterWire]

DISASTER REPORT — Sad news for Marcus Hamburgers on Detroit's east side. A car careened into the side of the restaurant last Thursday evening. Open since the 1920, Marcus's owners are unsure when they'll be able to reopen the eatery. [ABC]

CRIMEWIRE — Restaurant owners in Oakland County should be wary of health inspection robo calls. The Oakland County Health Division says that scammers are attempting to extort money from local businesses. "Don't fall prey, and remember, actual government officials never call and threaten, or try to extort immediate payment over the phone," says county sheriff Michael Bouchard. [MLive]

BOOZE NEWS — For the low, low price of $2,000 customers can get a T-shirt and two beers a day for life at Falling Down Beer Company in Warren on Black Friday. Beers don't carry over though, so deep-pocketed buyers will likely become permanent residents of the brewery. [EaterWire]
