A new concept called Stache International is laying claim to a spot in Eastern Market bringing bar-friendly bites with house-smoked meats to the neighborhood, according to The Detroit News. Steve Kay and Ray and Gracie Moses are partnering in the venture with chef Lary Pope in the kitchens.
The group says Stache doesn't have a liquor license but will act as a kitchen for its neighbor Thomas Magee's Sporting House; patrons at Magee's will be able to order food from Stache for delivery. The menu at the forthcoming eatery will feature some intriguing items including gyro corn dogs, French pulled pork sandwiches, and deep-fried pickles wrapped in ham, cheese, and egg roll paper. Stache is due for a soft opening the first week in November. Stay tuned.
