La Dulce is Metro Detroit's latest critical darling, receiving praise not only for chef Juan Carlos Negrete's refreshing food and drink but also its dramatic design. From the statement-making facade to the stylize geometric interior, the Spanish tapas eatery leaves a lasting impression.
Owner Luis Negrete reportedly spent $1 million dollars on the whimsical build-out. Decorations on the wall, shelves, and false fireplaces make the eatery feel like the Mad Hatter's living room.
