CASS CORRIDOR — The Peterboro welcomed chef Brion Wong into the fold last week, and confirms to Sylvia Rector that the original chef John Campau has left the project due to delays. Wong is planning to include a riff on Almond Boneless Chicken on menu. Meanwhile, project designer Dave Kwiatkowski says they've abandoned original steampunk theme in favor of "rustic" industrial details, a concrete bar, communal tables, and wraparound banquettes. DOWNTOWN — Forthcoming sports bar Briggs Detroit is aiming for a soft opening on October 19, according to a Craigslist job posting. The dance floor debut will follow on October 23 with brunch scheduled to launch in late November. [Craigslist]

BIRMINGHAM — La Strada Dolci E Café appears to be making headway since receiving final site plan approval last month. The bistro is seeking baristas, servers, and hostesses. "Knowledge in coffee art is a must!" [Craigslist]

BIRMINGHAM — Forest Grill is ditching the "Grill" portion of its moniker as it undergoes a revamp. A rep for the restaurant tells Eater that Forest is now hiring staff.
