Bartender Joe Robinson Previews Standby's Growing Cocktail Lineup

Get a first-look at seven original drinks headed for the Belt Alley restaurant's cocktail menu.

Downtown's new Belt Alley drinking and dining destination is still gestating, with an official debut several weeks away. But while contractors are hammering out the final details inside the Cary Building, bartender Joe Robinson and chef Brendon Edwards are staying busy developing a voluminous, 50 cocktail-strong beverage programSo far, the duo is keeping menu details close to the cuff with a few covert tastings and glimpses of the libations posted to Instagram. In honor of Cocktail Week, Robinson gave Eater an exclusive preview of seven signature drinks. The list included everything from tiki-inspired shared drinks to truffle salt-rimmed bourbon creations:

Fibonacci's Curse (Shared Cocktail) — St. George Green Chile Vodka, House Verdita, Cinnamon, Tiki Bitters

Club Yellow Cocktail — Old Forester Bourbon, Milk Syrup, Barenjager, Fresh Lemon, Yellow Mustard, Truffle Salt

Elote Cocktail — Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Sweet Corn Juice, Agave, Lime, Chile de Arbol, Salt

Snake in the Grass — Citadelle Gin, Fresh Lime, Simple, Celery Bitters, Nitro Muddled Mustard Greens

Blood & Silk — Laphraoig, Clarified OJ, Cherry Heering, Ransom Sweet Vermouth

The Dutchess — Averna, Green Chartreuse, Cocoa Water, Nitro Cap Foam, Served Warm

Banana Justino — Dave Arnold - Booker & Dax - NYC - Zaya 12, Clarified Banana, Lime
