Food TV—Detroit native Norman Wilson is being featured on Worst Cooks in AmericaWilson spoke with MLive about being nominated by his brother for the show. "My mind was blown," he says. "I was like ‘Well, hey, I know they teach you how to cook, so I might as well go ahead and go on," Wilson recalled. "I can look like a fool for a minute in order to really learn how to cook!" Entrepreneurs—Eastern Market will put the finishing touches on some new additions to Shed 5 next month including a community kitchen and a Kid Rock Community Commons Room. While we shudder at how many locations in Detroit will soon bare the name of this aging (filthy rich and humble) rocker, the improvements sound like welcome additions to the market, which is already a home to many budding food entrepreneurs. Auto Show—For those with $1,000 lying around here's one way to spend it. Chef Wolfgang Puck is preparing "inspired meals" for guests at The Gallery in MGM Grand from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. this Saturday. The Gallery event, which benefits Henry Ford Hospitals, is one of the kick-offs to the North American Auto Show and features previews of "iconic, exotic, and luxury vehicles." Only 300 tickets are available. For details call 248-283-5126. [EaterWire]
