Shimmy Shack Vegan Truck is Seeking a Permanent Place to Shack Up

Vegan food truck owner and promoter of the sexier side of plant-based diets, Debra Levantrosser, is kicking off her New Year by searching for a permanent Shimmy Shack location in Metro Detroit.

"I am working on finding a drive thru location in Metro Detroit preferably in areas where our truck has done well before," she says, adding that the future location will have a "retro yet modern feel."

Even without the property, the proprietor already knows what she's looking for in her brick-and-mortar diner. "There will be some seats inside and it will also house an area that will have vegan Michigan-made products for sale. The colors are going to be the Shimmy green and pink."

The owner is seeking tips from customers on potential locations. Suggestions can be sent through the mobile cart's website. "We are very ex[cited] to get moving!" Levantrosser says.
