Offworld Arcade: Vintage Games Pop-up at Checker Bar

Welcome to Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers Michelle and Chris Gerard visit some of the city's great food events and locations to capture the city's spirit at a certain, and very specific, time. Here is a look at last weekend's Offworld Arcade pop-up at Checker Bar.

Offworld Arcade, a game bar pop-up featuring old-fashioned arcade games like Ms. Pac-Man, made an appearance at the Checker Bar on Saturday, January 17. From 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. for a $5 admission fee visitors were invited to freeplay games all night, while enjoying food and drinks at the Checker Bar. Couldn't make the event? Offworld left behind a few games at Checker that are ready to play at 25-cents per game. According to Curbed, fans can expect a more permanent location for Offworld in the next year or so.
