Katoi is taking over the former Willie's Garage in Corktownaccording to Izzi Bendall of DBusiness Daily News.

Courtney Henriette, co-partner and front-of-house face for Katoi, spoke with Bendall regarding the company's upcoming transition from resident Two James food truck to restaurant.

The brick-and-mortar location at 2520 Michigan Ave. will branch out from Katoi's current menu, while staying true to the Thai palette favored by chef Brad Greenhill. The restaurant will seat between 50 and 60 people with an additional 20 seats in the pub area, Henrietta tells DBiz. Katoi may even incorporate the current truck into the new restaurant model, using it as an outdoor kitchen during the summer.

The semi-mobile eatery announced earlier this week that it would say goodbye to Two James to focus attention on the restaurant buildout, but according to the article, Katoi Food Truck may be decommissioned sooner than anticipated. According to DBiz, the will only be at the distillery two more days.
