Motor City Meatball Kitchen Now Open in Warren

Get meatball sandwiches, sliders, and more at this new spot.

Motor City Meatball Kitchen

Meatball fans, rejoice: Motor City Meatball Kitchen opened for full lunch and dinner service this Monday and serves classic meatball sandwiches and sliders with pastas and salads. The 1800-square-foot space aims to follow the fast-casual aspect of dining, and will also offer catering services.

MCMK, owned by Mary Ann Gualtieri, chef Jeff Glover, and Ron Uhouse, uses Michigan food purveyors. Chicken is free of antibiotics and hormones and all meat is ground in house.

Previously, Gualtieri has managerial experience from Salvatore Scalloppini and Tom's Oyster Bar. Uhouse launched Twingo's (now Shangri-La on Cass in Midtown) as a co-owner. Both Gualtieri and Uhouse have experience in catering and reconnected when working as consultants for the new Grille Midtown restaurant and Garden Theater event space. Glover worked as executive chef for Wolfgang Puck in Melbourne, and after 10 years he returned to the Detroit area to help open Wolfgang Puck at the MGM Grand.
