Detroiters, can't get enough of Taco Bell's cheesy gordita crunch wraps? A few weeks ago the fast-food giant announced its "Eleven Everlasting Dollars" challenge to promote its new dollar menu, and Detroit is one of 11 participating cities. The prize... Wait for it: a lifetime of Taco Bell food.
All that's needed to win, find one of 11 very special dollar bills distributed at Taco Bells in 11 U.S. cities, including in the Motor City. As reported by the Detroit Free Press, the winner must come forward with a dollar bill that displays one of the specific serial numbers, as shown on the contest website, everlastingdollars.com. Other participating cities included Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle and New York.
Eater Detroit has not heard whether there's been a lucky winner (or not so lucky, depending on what one might think of having to eat Taco Bell for the rest of one's life). Odds of winning are slim, one in 2.4 billion to be exact, according to USA Today. By now, that winning dollar bill has likely recirculated dozens of times. But there are only a few Taco Bells in Detroit proper, so there's that advantage. For anyone who frequents the faux Mexican chain and thinks they have a shot, here's the serial number to look out for: J 02576222 G
