Detroit Restaurant Week kicks off on Friday and it looks like an interesting addition will be included to the list of usual suspects for the annual culinary event when Marc Bogoff's Stockyard Supper Club hosts a pop-up dinner event this Saturday at Shinola Store Detroit.
The sold out, $75-per-ticket event throws a wrench in Restaurant Week's otherwise repetitive line-up, which every year includes obvious Detroit dining staples like 24Grille, Cliff Bell's and Fountain Bistro. The venue, Midtown's bicycle and watch shop that's making a splash nationwide for its use of Detroit as a luxury brand, may seem like an unusual choice to have a supper club, but considering the company is a lead sponsor of Restaurant Week, perhaps the event is just its way of staying in the food game.
Other new additions to the 10-day-long event include the newly-opened Top Of The Pontch and PRISM (formerly Brizola, more on that switcheroo here) at the Greektown Casino Hotel. Restaurant Week diners will get to sample fall-themed, three-course meals from 21 restaurants throughout the city for $30.
