Chef Brad Greenhill is looking for guinea pigs, err guests, for a little more help testing out his Thai dinner menu Saturday at Revolver in Hamtramck before the soft opening of his Katoi food truck next week at Two James. Greenhill, who's already got a following with his Righteous Rojo venture, promised a summer tastings before he takes his concept on the road.
A kitchen malfunction and other hiccups over the summer delayed this sequel event. Says Greenhill: The dinner is $45 per person with two seatings offered at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. A vegetarian option is also available.
On the menu, Kaeng Som Kung - tiger prawn with sour curry, yolk and crispy rice cake; Phat Hua Khaerot - charred carrots with lime, peanuts and coconut yogurt; Krathiam Taeng Khang - garlic cucumber with birdseye and szechuan peppercorn; Suea Rong Hai and Khao Niaw - crying tiger smoked brisket and green sauce with sticky rice and Paa Tong Goy - fried chinese dough with jackfruit custard.
