Eater is seeking a new lead editor to head up our extensive coverage of restaurants on Eater Detroit. Former city editor Brenna Houck has taken a new role as cities manager for Eater and is on the lookout for someone to take the helm in the Motor City.

Do you have extensive editing and reporting experience, along with demonstrated prowess at managing a team of freelancers? Do you have a clear vision, defining who and what matters in the Detroit food world? Are you obsessed with restaurants, chefs, news, and all the drama that goes hand in hand with covering the local scene? Do you see opportunities to grow the site or take it in new directions? Can you balance a mix of job duties, ranging from detail-oriented copy editing to overseeing social media strategy for the site?

If all of this sounds exciting, head over to this Vox Media job posting and follow the instructions, including providing a cover letter and a resume. If we like what we see, we’ll follow up quickly. This is a part-time, union position.
