The Detroit Pizza Company has opened its doors and has been busy trying to lure customers with its many lunch specials, according to its Facebook page. Opened about a week ago in the former Good Girls Go To Paris Crepes location at 15 E Kirby St. Suite 115, the new pizzeria has spent the past several months coming up with unusual toppings, like Coney dog, nacho taco and chicken Parmesan.

Mother-daughter operated LA Weir are the owners and also run Nom Nom's Cupcake Factory, which is opened next door to the new pizzeria. With stores also in the suburbs, Nom Nom's is also known for creating off-beat flavors like S'mores, Chocolate Covered Banana, and Irish Car Bomb.

From the looks of the pizzeria's postings, it appears as though The Detroit Pizza Company will rely heavily on the lunch crowd and are offering up a number of deals for slices, pizza rolls, calzones and salads. It will be interesting to see in the coming months how Detroiters are reacting to the new restaurant's pizza variety.
