Chef Zach Sklar, of popular restaurants MEX and Social, is nearly ready to reopen Beau's, formerly Beau Jack's, in Bloomfield Hills. Sylvia Rector at the Free Press writes that they will be opening next week, but have yet to announce the specific date.

The restaurant is supposedly unrecognizable from it's former self, both outside and inside. It's meant to look like it's been there forever, according to Sklar, who notes that restaurants in New York and Chicago do the same thing, '""everything is Old World now. ... Everything's supposed to look like it has been there 60 years already."'

The menu is also meant to reflect that timeless classic style, with items like wedge salads, grilled meats and fish, a rotating list of seasonal sides, and prime rib. While the full menu hasn't been revealed, Sklar has been posting teaser images showing off the various design elements on social media.

The entire concept can be boiled down quite simply. Sklar told the Free Press, '"The idea is, the food never goes out of style, nor does the décor. There's nothing kitschy about the food; it has been around forever. But it's how we do it that sets it apart."'
