The food truck trend is the subject of new research by a UofM sociologist, who decided to study them because he found himself eating at his favorite truck so frequently in Ann Arbor. "I think the gourmet food trucks are definitely growing out of a larger food culture," says [researcher Todd] Schifeling, "At the same time, it's probably true they are contributing to help that local food culture grow."
