In reading about all of the other meat dishes this week, why not branch out into meaty desserts? To celebrate The Five Days of Meat and to test their creative culinary skills, The Detroit Pop Shop is introducing Maple Bourbon Bacon and Cantaloupe Proscuitto pops for this week only. The mission of the shop is to spread happiness through popsicles, and they're known for unique flavors like Watermelon Basil and Grapefruit Habanero, so they know what they're doing when it comes to thinking out of the box. From their website, "We came up with the idea to create delicious popsicles because we believe summer is the best time to enjoy all that Detroit has to offer! And what better way to do that, than with an ice cold popsicle in hand!" The Detroit Pop Shop's treats are available at Rustbelt Market, and many other markets around the city. Their special meat-inspired flavors will be available this Sunday at Eastern Market from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. only.
