New Center's French fine dining destination Cuisine, run by chef owner Paul Grosz, has recently changed the menu to offer dishes a la carte instead of by courses. Chef Paul decided that it would be better to simplify the experience for diners, "I'm doing away with the formality of ordering courses. Categorizing foods as fish, meats and vegetables." This means the menu is more like that of The Stand Gastro Bistro, the Birmingham restaurant that also boasts Chef Paul at the helm. He is pleased with the change so far, nothing that "It's working out great" and that "customers feel more comfortable with it. They can order as many or as few items [as they want] this way." The dishes are still there, but the format has been updated, which reflects the more casual, but still upscale trend in Detroit dining.
