Renowned author Michael Ruhlman is promoting his new book "Egg: A Culinary Exploration of the World's Most Versatile Ingredient" and the Forest Grill in Birmingham is hosting a seven-course egg dinner on June 12th in honor of the event.

Ruhlman is known for The French Laundry Cookbook series, as well as his Charcuterie and Salumi collaborations with the Forest Grill's own chef Brian Polcyn. The dinner, which will celebrate the diversity of the egg, will also feature wine and cocktail pairings. Ruhlman will speak on the egg as a "miracle of natural design" and provide a copy of his book to each guest.

The menu, planned by Chef Brian Polcyn and Chef Nick Janutol, has yet to be released, but will be available shortly. Dinner is $150 per person, including beverages, the book, tax and gratuity, call Forest Grill at (248) 258-9400 to purchase tickets.
