Sarap Brings Filipino Flavor to Detroit; Detroit Soup Tonight

DETROIT A brand new pop-up, Sarap, is bringing Filipino inspired cuisine to the city. Their very first dinner will take place at Supino Pizzeria at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on June 22nd. [Detroit News]

DOWNTOWN Tonight pay just $5 for soup, salad, and a vote at Detroit Soup, hosted in the new DIME (Detroit Institute of Music Education) center downtown at 1520 Woodward. The event starts at 6:00 p.m., proposals start at 7:00, and the winning small business will be announced at 9:00 p.m. [Detroit Soup]

EASTERN MARKET Eastern Market is starting their Sunday Street Market concept on June 1st, with local non-food goods, entertainment, and a bunch of food trucks. The markets will take place (in addition to the usual Saturday food markets, don't worry) from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. every Sunday through September 28th. [Crain's]
