Joe Muer Seafood in Detroit and Bistro 82 in Royal Oak are the newest restaurants to offer weekend brunch, both starting this Sunday, June 1st.
Joe Muer's a la carte menu will feature plenty of seafood of course, and bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys will also be available. Sylvia Rector at the Free Press notes that options will include a bacon and crab cake Benedict, and a brandy-infused Maine lobster roll, among other rich dishes of both the breakfast and lunch variety. The prices are more special occasion than regular weekend hangout, but with River Walk views and top notch service it's a great place to splurge.
As for Bistro 82, the a la carte menu is classic with a French twist, an the prices are more moderate, topping out at $17 for the lobster and crab scramble. Their drink menu is also inventive, with an intriguing twist on a mimosa (St. Germain, enough said). Check out their menus in full below.
Joe Muer's brunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sundays, reservations recommended, and Bistro 82 will be hosting theirs slightly earlier, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
