World Expo of Beer; Weekend Wine Stroll

FRANKENMUTH— The annual World Expo of Beer launches tonight at 5p.m., Michigan's largest beer sampling event, with nearly 300 different beers available from around the world. It may be raining but they will still be pouring beer, tickets are $10 which includes a free collector beer sampling mug. Proceeds will be donated to charity. [Eaterwire]

ROYAL OAK— Raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Oakland County and have fun at the same time on Saturday at the Wine Stroll in downtown Royal Oak. Make an afternoon of it and check out more than a dozen bars and restaurants who'll be pouring wine and offering hors d'oeuvres from noon till 5p.m. Tickets are $40 per person. [Eaterwire]

HAMTRAMCK— A few seats have opened up for the 9.30p.m. seating of Arabesque at Revolver tonight. Dinners are $50 per person and offer five courses of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine (psst, it's BYOB). [Eaterwire]
