John's Carpet House Returns This Weekend

Sunday sees the official season opening of John's Carpet House and Pete's Place at 2133 Frederick Street. The legendary blues jam which Big Time Pete runs for free is also a surprisingly good source of barbecue. Heads up: one possible problem; according to Deadline Detroit, the Porta Potty was stolen last summer and hasn't been replaced yet. Cash only and please, throw some 'duckets in the buckets' to help keep the jam going (and y'know, get another toilet).
