WOLVERINE LAKE— There's a new collaborative multi-chef dinner in town, the Seasoned Chefs dinner. The group of six chefs, all veterans in the industry, were inspired by the Young Guns Dinner series taking place all throughout Metro Detroit. This group includes Chris Johnson (The Meeting House); Alan Merhar (Evans Street Station); Jay Gundy (Cork Restaurant); Benjamin Meyer (Iridescence); Jeff Rose (C.A.Y.A. Smokehouse Grill); and Eric Voigt (Big Rock Chophouse, The Reserve). The Seasoned Chefs will be hosting one dinner per season, the first of which will take place at C.A.Y.A. in Wolverine Lake. Dinner is $85 per person, reservations can be made by calling 248.438.6741. [-ED-]
CORKTOWN—Two James Spirits is excited to announce that they just won several awards at their very first competition. They won best of category in both Clear Whiskey and Straight Bourbon, and a gold and silver medal in the Excellence in Packing category at the 2014 American Distilling Institute 8th Annual Judging of Craft American Spirits. [Two James]
DOWNTOWN—The Happy Hour at Michael Symon's Roast is pretty great, according to this "quick tip" reminder from Hell Yeah Detroit. They of course heartily suggest the Roast Burger, and recommend getting their early to grab a seat. [Hell Yeah Detroit]
