There are those iconic places that are part of a city's fabric, that transcend pizza or food and become instead a cultural institution. The original Buddy's Pizza on Conant Street is one of those places. Eater Scenes is an inside look at the restaurant on a busy evening, open for business and doing what they do best; serving great food to happy customers.
Buddy's introduced square Detroit style deep dish pizza to the region in 1946, almost 70 years ago, and they haven't looked back. They now have nine locations, lots of awards, and a great reputation, but they also have fed generations of Detroiters and visitors over the years, and they continue to do so every day.
