Beau Jack's To Close And Reopen As "Beau's"; Detroit City Distillery Now Has Chairs

EASTERN MARKET— Detroit City Distillery is getting closer to opening according to their most recent Facebook post. It's a picture of a tall leather bar stool with the caption "It won't be long until you are sitting in one of these enjoying a drink" which is a mighty exciting prospect for the local booze aficionados in town. LANSING—Food Court Wars, the Food Network show that is, will be filming in Lansing starting Wednesday, at the Lansing City Market and Thursday at the Lansing Mall, so try some samples and maybe make it on TV. [MLive]

BLOOMFIELD—What was once Beau Jack's, a beloved restaurant for many years, has been purchased by Zack Sklar of Social and MEX, and it will be remodeled and reopened as Beau's this summer. However, the current owner, Gary Cochran, will remain with the restaurant as a partner, the old staff are supposedly welcome to stay, and some of their most beloved dishes will remain on the menu.
