The Grille Midtown is the newest restaurant to add brunch to their weekly offerings, as of last Sunday. The Metro Detroit region has had some great brunch spots for many years, but Detroit is upping their game, with new restaurants consistently adding brunch menus a few months after opening. The Grille Midtown's menu seems to lean more towards breakfast dishes, but it includes both sweet and savory options ranging from the necessary classics like eggs Benedict to soul-inspired dishes like shrimp and grits or hash with spicy jambalaya. They have brunch cocktails as well, including a bottomless mimosa, a mojito, and a spicy margarita that includes jalapeno, which sounds like a secret recipe for a hangover cure if there ever was one. They are located just a stone's throw from where brunch favorite Atlas Global Bistro (may it rest in peace) was once king, so hopefully their Woodward storefront will draw in both Midtown locals and suburbanites, just like Atlas used to. The Grille Midtown serves brunch from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. every Sunday.
