Mark March 14th on the calendar, because that's the day that Michigan law allows diners to bring their own wine to restaurants, simply paying a "corkage" fee instead of buying a full bottle. The article in Hour has good tips (call and ask if they do corkage, and find out for how much, beforehand) and clears up some etiquette issues (definitely tip more so the waiter gets a proper pay-out).
