Bravo! Cucina Italiana, will open December 11 in Ann Arbor's Briarwood Mall—"arched colonnades" and all. This Italian eatery promises "superb food" served "within the ruins of an ancient Roman temple."

While gladiators are not part of the dining experience, cooking will be done in view of guests creating a chef-centric, live theater feel, according to a company release. The Bravo! menu offers meat entrees, seafood, pastas, and pizzas prepared by executive chef Anthony Martir. The company also has several weekly specials including a weekday Happy Hour, brunch, Martini Night, and Wine Thursdays.

This is the chain's fifth Michigan location. Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 10 pm. Sunday through Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
