Ferndale/Detroit: Beer proprietor 8 Degrees Plato is seeking art submissions that incorporate the company logo, craft beer, and hops. The company will select one work to showcase on a t-shirts and in another secret project (a mural?) for the Detroit store, opening in the first quarter of the new year. For consideration, designs must be emailed by 11:59 p.m. on December 4. Artists will receive "bragging rights and street cred," as well as a $200 gift certificate and more. Find the full details on the company Facebook page.

Sugar Hill Arts District: Life is full of disappointments. Kuro will not be opening on Noel Night as previously predicted, co-owner Frances Moore tells Eater. Stay tuned for more news on the restaurant in the new year.

Mobile: Preparations for the launch of Norma G's mobile cuisine are nearly complete. Lester Gouvia, founder of the Caribbean pop-up and Demitart Gourmet catering service, picked up the vehicle last Friday from a company in Ohio that specializes in building food trucks.
