Metro Times has the first word on the chef at Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails. Douglas Hewitt Jr., executive chef at Terry B's in Dexter, will be helming the kitchen at this new Midtown restaurant owned by The Oakland's Sandy Levine.
Hewitt trained "at Schoolcraft College, and has been at Terry's for almost a decade, steeped in American fusion cuisine. It also suggests the restaurant will be serious about not just drinks (with Levine's obvious influence) but wine as well," writes Michael Jackman.
