Customers will do a lot for free food. Take for instance, the crowds at HopCat's grand opening that showed up in droves for the promise of free "crack fries." The same goes for tacos, as Fajita Republic in Utica proved today. People lined up ahead of the company's 11 a.m. opening with the promise of free tacos for a year to the first 100 people through the door. By approximately 9 a.m. the company had met their cap.
This is the second Fajita Republic in Michigan. The first opened a little over six months ago in Grand Rapids. The new location, fills a vacant Champps Americana restaurant.
Fajita Republic is located at 12515 Hall Road in Utica. Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
