Hamtramck's own Rock City Pies will be featured in the second season of CNBC's Restaurant Startup, the company says today in a release. The 10-episode season premiers on January 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and features celebrity restaurateur Joe Bastianich and chef Tim Love as judges and investors.
In October, the network announced that Top Chef alum Antonia Lofaso would join the cast and "help guide the hungry entrepreneurs as they are put to the ultimate test: opening a restaurant!"
Each week two teams will pitch their ideas to the investors and try to convince Bastianich and Love that their idea is worth bankrolling. The winning team is then put to the test in a real restaurant with a small amount of seed money.
