St. Cece's is hosting it's regular pop-up with Dr. Sushi tonight but there's a twist. Nick George and artist Thor Brovold are teaming up to bring an Upper Peninsula favorite to Metro Detroit with Pop Up North, according to CORE Detroit's Kat Rembacki.

They'll have the tradition pasty we know and love, stuffed with beef, carrot, onion, celery, peas, potatoes, and parsley. Nick and Thor have also prepared root vegetable pasty, filled with lovely butternut squash, rutabaga, potato, carrot, and peas.

They're spicing things up with a Jamaican curry goat pasty. We're pretty stoked to taste this twist on the classic pasty. It's filled with goat, carrot, pearl onion, potato, peas, thyme and a luscious curry sauce. Smoked fish from the Great Lakes will also be on tonight's menu.

The pasty slinging begins at 6 p.m. with 24 Karat Karaoke performing at 8:30 p.m.

St. Cece's hosts regular pop-ups at 1426 Bagley Avenue in Corktown.
