Little Caesars Pizza, a subsidiary of Ilitch Holdings, today revealed plans for an 8-story, 205,000-sq.-foot Global Resource Center—part of a larger downtown world headquarters campus.
The new center will be part of the Red Wings Stadium development in the Columbia Street neighborhood on Woodward Avenue.
Little Caesars will also completely renovate the 186,000-sq.-foot Fox Office Center.
"Mike and Marian Ilitch, the founders and owners of Little Caesars Pizza, have always worked to provide the very best for our employees, our customers, our city and our state," says Christopher Ilitch, president and CEO of Ilitch Holdings. "This is another significant investment in our people, our company, and our community."
The new building is expected to be LEED Silver certified with abundant windows, collaborative workspaces, test kitchens, an auditorium, green space, a childcare facility, and a flagship Little Caesars Pizza store. A sky bridge over Columbia Street will connect the new building with the current Fox Office Center.
Construction will begin in the spring of 2015 and is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.
