Midtown is receiving a new restaurant in the Park Shelton building, according to Sylvia Rector of The Detroit Free Press. Sandy Levine, owner of The Oakland cocktail bar in Ferndale is taking over the lease left by Rodin at 15 E. Kirby. The tentative name is Chartreuse Kitchen and Cocktails.

Levine, who worked for restaurants in the past, says he is excited to return to food. "This is the first time I've been away from food and I miss it terribly," he says.

While Levine hasn't divulged the menu concept, one might anticipate array of excellent craft beverages. Rector reports the restaurateur is already applying for a liquor license.
