The Many Vines of Sister Pie

Take a dance break and watch the people at Sister Pie break it down in this video interlude.

Brenna Houck is a Cities Manager for the Eater network. She previously edited Eater Detroit and reported for Eater. You can follow her on the internet at @brennahouck.

If you haven't been following Sister Pie, you should probably start. Not only is the founder, Lisa Ludwinski, opening a brick-and-mortar shop in the West Village, but Sister Pie was recently voted one of Detroit's three best spots for pie by an MLive poll. "Ludwinski likes to throw a curveball into the flavor profiles of her pies," writes reporter Ian Thibodeau. "While she makes both sweet and savory pies, the line between the two categories is a little more flexible at Sister Pie, with pies like Apple Cheddar Rye, Apple Sage Gouda, and their flagship Salted Maple."

In addition to getting creative in the kitchen, the bakery maven stars in some pretty hilarious musically-inspired videos on the company's Instagram. Here are a few choice clips:

Thanks for a great season, @easternmarket! 'Til next year. #schoolsout #alicecooper
