Mobile Vendor What Up Dough! Invades Detroit

Owner Mary Beth Carolan sells cookie sandwiches and more from the back of her bike cart.

A new mobile shop,What Up Dough!, has hit the streets of downtown Detroit.

Mary Beth Carolan founded the company back in January after earning her master's degree in fine arts. Carolan quite literally pedals her wares out of the back of a bike cart. The company operates out of Parker Street Market, but her mobile business can be found at Campus Martius and Our/Detroit Vodka.

"For me, cooking has always been something that comes naturally," Carolan tells CBS Detroit. "...I think that this is just the right kind of business that fits for me."

What Up Dough! offers Ice Berger cookie sandwiches as well as frozen dough in half-dozen hand-scooped packages according to the Our/Detroit website. Carolan also regularly updates her flavors.
