The owners of two Ferndale restaurants— Imperial and Public House— confirmed with Crain's that they will open several new restaurants in 2015.

The new storefronts will include a second Imperial, just three years after the original opened shop on Michigan Avenue. While the owners have yet to settle on a location for the taqueria, the article notes that they're looking at spaces in Detroit and its surrounding suburbs.

The group says that they hope to eventually expand the Imperial brand into other Michigan markets by opening three or four more restaurants.

The restaurateurs have already set plans in motion to secure the space next to Public House at 231 W. Nine Mile Road, which Elegance by Design has left vacant. In addition to an as-of-yet undisclosed restaurant concept, the location will serve as a commissary kitchen for Imperial and as a hub for the company's catering.
