Top Chef Duels Finale Watch Party; FoodLab Searches for Detroit's Greatest Pie

One Iron Chef competes for a title, while another helps raise money for a local organization.

Contests— Calling all pie bakers and eaters: FoodLab invites Detroit's bakers to compete for the title of Detroit's Greatest Pie. The event will take place on October 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Always Brewing Detroit. Participants will vie for best overall pie, best crust, best filling, prettiest pie, most unique, and people's choice. The challenge will be judged by a panel that includes Lisa Ludwinski from Sister Pie and Starlett Simmons from Five Star Cake Co., but the public is also invited to come taste the contending recipes and vote for their favorites.
