Maurice Wiggins and Anthony Rone of recently opened Addison Eatery along with Mirela Deda, manager of Detroit One Coney Islandshared their thoughts with Model D on the impact of the M-1 Rail on Woodward Avenue businesses. All of the restaurants appear to be staying fairly positive, despite the short-term disruptions to traffic in the area.

"Construction is a sign of progress," Wiggins tells Model D. "There's no need to harp about it. We should embrace it."

Rone adds that, once complete, the rail will hopefully be a boon to business, bringing customers from Midtown to downtown and all the places in between.

Mirela Deda says that Detroit One Coney Island are excited about the new rail. "It's going to get better around here, but for now it's tough. It's been slower since construction-not too seriously, but yeah, it has."
