Over at Crain's Detroit, food writer Nathan Skid has compiled a two-part list of his favorite dishes of 2013, with a Torino amuse-bouche (a foie gras and apple macaron) at the top.
He features Bacco, The Root, Bistro Joe's, and Cuisine on his "best dishes of 2013" list, before moving on to the best inexpensive eats, including dishes from Mudgie's Taqueria El Rey, Supino, and The Root again, this time for banana cream pie.
