The Detroit Free Press has shared their list of "12 Places to get a Taste of the Motor City" and they're predictably hotel/casino/"upscale" restaurants, with coneys, Slows, Cliff Bell's (under the "Fun and Casual" category?) and a few others thrown in for good measure. The whole list includes: Iridescence, The Rattlesnake Club, Michael Symon's Roast, Coach Insignia, Joe Meur Seafood, American Coney Island, Lafayette Coney Island, Buddy's Pizza, Slows Bar BQ, Slows To Go, Cliff Bell's, Bucharest Grill, and Ottava Via.
The list doesn't seem that adventurous, and it's definitely skewed extreme high-end and then basically take out, with precious little in between. What mid-range restaurants should have been included in the list? Let us know in the comments.
