HAMTRAMCK— Rock City Eatery announced via their Facebook Page today that they will no longer have lunch hours starting Monday, September 30th. The new hours will be Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday 4:00 p.m.- 2:00 a.m., closed Sundays. Bummed about lunch? Don't fret-they said they're planning on adding brunch very soon. [Facebook]
CORKTOWN— Molly Abraham gives Ottava Via a shout out in her "Molly's Picks" column today. The newer Corktown restaurant is building a pretty solid reputation, and it's nice to see it featured, even if the other "pick" (Bistro Joe's) is in Birmingham/is strangely also part of a grocery store. [Hour Detroit]
FERNDALE— Ferndale gets more boozy today with the opening of Schramm's Mead, a meadery and tasting room on 9 mile. They will be using as many Michigan honeys and fruits as the season allows, and bottles will be available for sale. They also have a limited menu at the tasting room, so guests can enjoy mead and food pairings. Schramm's opened at 4:00 p.m. today, so get over there already! [Eat It Detroit]
