Beer Blowback

Michigan lawmakers are discussing new legislation—three bills to be exact—meant to loosen restrictions on beer brewing and selling throughout the state. Not all brewers are thrilled. The founder of Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo tells Michigan Radio that a proposal to let restaurants brew their own beer will hurt his bottom line, "We see it as the possibility of taking away about 100 accounts in the state over the next five years..." Other brewers hail the bills as potential job creators and business boosters. [Michigan Radio]
